Housing help
The Office municipal d'habitation de Québec helps people without housing or about to be: 418 780-5211 or sarl@omhq.qc.ca, weekdays 9 a.m.–noon and 1–4:30 p.m., or at 110, rue Courcelette by appointment.^[1]^[2]
Parking
Québec City residents can borrow moving sawhorses free of charge through 311, requesting them at least 48 hours (two business days) ahead and setting them up 24 hours before with the intended dates and times. These citizen-installed signs do not create an enforceable parking reservation.^[3]^[4]
Parking
The City's loaned sawhorses may not be set up in loading zones (débarcadères) or in paid parking zones, so they cannot be used to hold metered curb space.^[3]
Permit
Since December 2024, every occupation of the roadway in Québec City, such as a dumpster, scaffolding or a work truck, requires an occupation permit requested by calling 311. The City says to allow up to 10 business days.^[5]^[6]
