Permit
When an oversize-truck permit is required in Vancouver, apply for a single trip at least 5 business days before travel and carry the permit in the vehicle. A temporary special-zone permit or utility approvals may also be needed. This is separate from reserving curb space and does not apply to every moving van.[1]
Rules
Vancouver directs business owners to check the proposed location with Development and Building Services before leasing or buying it. Zoning and building rules govern land use and life safety. The moving date is separate from the new location’s business-licence approval.[2]
Change of address
The CRA distinguishes a business’s physical, mailing, and books-and-records addresses. The physical address must identify where everyday operations occur; records stored at another location must also be reported. A household-goods delivery or mail-forwarding order does not update these business records.[3]
Permit
Vancouver’s temporary street-occupancy permit covers moving trucks and containers. Allow 7–10 business days after payment for processing and signs. Requests with only 5–7 business days require staff assessment and are not guaranteed.[4]
Change of address
A business can update its CRA addresses through Business account, Profile, Manage addresses. An authorized representative has a separate access route. A mailed or faxed request must identify the business number, old and new addresses, effective date and accounts to change, with an authorized signature.[3]
